Lightgate S2
Sitech's flagship system for the design and mastering of high security digital holograms, OVD's and laser etched images.
The Lightgate S2 has been designed specifically for the document security and product authentication industry. It can create master holograms and OVD's containing a wide range of optical security features and it does so at high speed, at high resolution and with extreme accuracy. The Lightgate S2 can record a 1 inch square, 1016 dpi OVD in less than 10 minutes with a pixel placement accuracy of just 0.00001 mm (10 nanometres).
With default resolutions of 508 dpi - 4064 dpi the Lightgate S2 can create full colour and multi-colour holograms and OVD's using range of techniques which include kinetic, photographic, 2D-3D, 3D, multi-channel, laser projected, algorithmic gradient, vertically animated, lenticular decoded and holo-lenticular images using a selection of different pixel shapes. The Lightgate S2 can also create laser etched pixel or vector images and laser etched diffractive optics such as Fresnel zone plates. All optical features can be combined in perfect registration to form a sophisticated optical security/anti-counterfeiting device and then automatically ganged up with registration and cutting guides to form a master plate.
In development for over 14 years, the Lightgate S2 system's state of the art technology is backed up by equally impressive software which orchestrates all aspects of the design and mastering process. Pattern generating software is provided to create an almost infinite range of patterns which can be recorded optically using the system. Image manipulation software makes image preparation, from splicing and cropping to image registration and 2D-3D conversion, quick and easy. The Lightgate S2 is also supplied with the latest version of Adobe's world beating Creative Suite of design and creation tools.
Sitech’s five day training course together with the system’s powerful computer and user friendly software ensures that an operator can start making sophisticated digital security holograms and OVD's of all types immediately upon receipt of the system. The Lightgate S2 is sold only to registered members of the International Hologram Manufacturers Association.
