Lightgate B5

Central to SiTech’s research and development program is the Lightgate digital hologram printer. Continual development for more than ten years has maintained the Lightgate's position at the forefront of digital hologram technology and it is now the most widely used digital hologram printer in the world. The latest model, the Lightgate B5, is a versatile and easy to use holographic mastering system that is capable of producing extremely sophisticated, high-resolution digital surface-relief holograms of all types for security and holographic packaging applications. These include full colour 3D holographic stereograms and virtually all types of conventional 'dot matrix' holograms, diffractive patterns, OVD's and holographic security features.

Lightgate holograms are created by recording millions of tiny diffractive pixels, each only a few microns in diameter, using multiple focussed laser beams. A powerful yet easy to use software program called Lightgate Control automates all aspects of this printing process. The Lightgate is also supplied with an array of custom and third party image manipulation software including the latest version of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, 3D modelling and rendering software and a hologram visualization program.

Despite its sophisticated capabilities, the Lightgate printer can be operated by computer artists with little or no knowledge of traditional holography thus saving the huge costs and time associated with training conventional holographers.
